About Me
Warmth, compassion and collaboration are keys to my individualized approach to psychotherapy and neurofeedback. I enjoy helping adults and adolescents find balance, harmony and joy in their lives. Often people need someone else to talk to and sometimes our brain needs a little help regulating. Taking a non-judgmental approach to therapy, I guide people to a better understanding of their feelings and behaviors and help them find their own unique resolution to their concerns. The compassionate approach I take to therapy is aimed at helping you find inner peace and self-confidence.
I am a Level 1 & 2 trained Internal Family Systems clinician and an EMDRIA Certified EMDR provider. I have also trained through EEG Education & Research at the Introductory and Intermediate Levels.
My specialties include depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship difficulties, PTSD, substance abuse recovery and trauma.
Specializing in Internal Family Systems and EMDR
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence based psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Studies show that by using EMDR clients can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to happen. EMDR processes unresolved memories from adverse experiences, can be used to address any number of concerns, and is compatible with other types of therapy.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS is a non-judgmental method of effectively addressing issues within a person’s internal community or family. This evidence-based approach assumes each individual possesses a variety of sub-personalities, or “parts,” and attempts to get to know each of these parts better to achieve healing.
By learning how different parts function as a system and how the overall system reacts to other systems and other people, clients become better able to identify the roots of conflict, manage any complications arising, and achieve greater well-being.
